This sounds like a lack of availible memory. WinXP maybe spooling out to veritual
memory on the hard drive. When you open Windows Task Manager click the performance
tab and check the amount of memory being used in the tables at the bottom. If you're
over running what you have installed, this is your problem. I have new notebook that
came with 256Mg and with all the stuff I load I was using 286Mg. So some of the things
I was using spooled to the HD. I add a 512Mg sodimm and things improved and runs
a lot faster!. Good Luck! BJ
