How is this printer connected to the network? In xp you should be able to "browse"
to a connected printer in the "add printer" dialogue box. If the printer is not showing
there then there is a problem with how you have connected it. The simplest way to
connect a conventional printer is to attach it directly to another pc on the network
- enable print and file sharing and you should "see" it from other PC's on the network.
To connect a printer directly to the network can be troublesome, particularly if
the printer doesn't support direct network connection!!
