Downloaded files scattered about Friday, November 4, 2005 at 2:25 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Lisa (56 messages posted) Hi, After I download files I have to spend a considerable amount of time searching for them. They almost always go to My Downloads, but there are so many files with that name in various places: My Documents; Lisa's Documents; Shared Docs.; Docs. and Settings, including Administrator, All Users, Default User, and Owner's Docs. In addition, Firefox always disignates Download to Disc with no choices or indication of where anything is going. How can I make sure that all downloads go to the same file, the one that's associated with the My Docs. icon that I keep on my desktop? and why do I have all those other places where documents are stored anyway?
