Thanks for your help, but we ended up doing a upgrade because he didnt have a windows
98 cd for the clean install. The windows 98 didn't have any problems tho except for
a graphics card problem. I fixed that problem with a new driver. He hasn't gotten
any errors or anything and it works pretty normal. The next step was going to be
to get more ram bcuz he had 128mb.
Whats weird is once he got xp i added the new video card he got b4 that wasn't very
compatible with 98. This time it worked perfectly disabling his integrated card and
installing new software. The weird part is his Ram now says he has 256. The video
card was 128 mb but i didn't know that would add to the ram. I thought there was
a difference between ram and video ram.
When i added my 64mb video card to my computer it didnt make my ram go higher. I
had to get more ram and a video card. So i thought that was weird. Can someone explain
to me why his ram increased when i added a new video card. Thanks everyone for all
your suggestions before.
