Here is what to do - open the first instance, then click for the slide show to start. Then pause the slideshow. Next alt-tab out of the paused full screen slideshow and double click the second file you want to open. NOW you have two instances you can use to cycle through pictures. It works this way for as many instances as you like. Indeed.
