Please Help Me! I've been on this all day with agonizingly slow progress.
I want to remove this offending security update: KB905749. Provided, of course,
that I even have it on my system. I have absolutely no idea how to even begin this
process. Can someone please give a step-by-step on how to determine if I received
this file and, if so, how to remove it?
I contacted Dell support who informed me this would require a restore. Unfortunately,
one of the byproducts of this same problem is that all of my restore points were
destroyed.
I've tried every single fix suggested on this thread with no solution to my problem.
No matter what I set my plug and play or permissions to, my Device Manager remains
blank and I get absolutely no sound at any time.
Also, I can not deal directly with MS since my software was pre-installed on my computer
so I can't get my hands on the hotfix fixccs.exe. Does anybody have this file?
Can anybody get it and make it available? If someone would care to track it down
and send it to me, i'd gladly post it to my site and link here for all to use.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
