Well, I have been reading/trying/ everything so far written in this
thread, going way back to last YEAR when it was originally posted. I
am STILL not able to view anything in the device manager, or in the
Network connections folders, YET I CAN access the net- and task manager
shows my motorola cable modem as operational and working when I click
on the "networking" tab in task manager.
In SAFE MODE, I can view EVERYTHING in device manager and see no yellow
errors, and AOL won't work either anymore- but in SAFE mode with
network access- AOL starts and signs me in instantly.
My network adapter is not being recognized either, but in safe mode it
IS.
I am now on day FOUR of this nightmare. I need help and will
personally bribe you all with a nice gift to whoever can help me get
back to where I should be with this brand new WinXP home ed HP
computer! (SP2 installed)
Thanks in advance to you all!
