Well, I have Device Manager and Network Connections populated, but I'm not getting any "auto Printers" showing up. I've got the auto find set in Folders > Options. Registry NoNetCrawl is set to 0 so that shouldn't be it. I suspect I may still have more insideous spyware/adware mucking up my laptop. What is interesting is that the apropo dealt with contextplus which I found independently. Interesting.
