I originally posted in this thread about the apropos fix last Saturday after that
fix solved my blank device manager issue, as well as get rid of all the annoying
pop-up ads. My system also seems to be running faster after that apropos spyware
was removed.
I'm so glad to see that fix has also worked for many others. I had no idea this
apropos spyware was so widespread. Whoever is responsible for apropos should be
thrown in jail! Causing PC's to malfunction by deliberately corrupting the registry
certainly sounds like a crime in my book. It's certainly created a lot of headaches
and wasted hours trying to fix all the problems it caused.
And now we have legitimate companies like Sony also messing with our registries and
planting hidden rootkits just to prevent us from ripping music cd's we buy. That
Sony rootkit reports back to Sony about the music we're playing on our PC's. And
they have the nerve to say that isn't spyware? I'll definitely never be buying another
Sony music cd again. Sorry for the rant.... :)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
