Apropos modem problem Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 7:57 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jess (1 messages posted) The apropos fix worked great for me. I have everything back in device manager. I can see my modem but when I try to connect it does not dial. It is on com 3 but in device manager in the ports section there is only com 1 and lpt listed. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and the computer finds it right off the bat. I am at a loss of what to try next. Any help would certainly be appreciated.
