If you are trying to get iss.dll of a Windows 2000 CD, why not just install Windows
2000 on your PC. It's a little tricky to get both XP Home and Windows 2000 on the
same c: drive. But it's possible. From there you can do asp.net if you install PWS
from 2000 pro
If you have been keeping up on your hot fixes and XP service packs 1 or 2, you should
have .NET framework 1.1 on XP home. The C# and VB compilers are included for Windows
programing. You can pretty well do everything .NET except asp.net and Web services.
The same is true for Windows 2000 at work if you installed the 1.1 framework, but
you you don't have access to the CD's or installation directory or a IIS server.
Don't forget about ASP.net hosting sites. There are lots of them.
