Question about 'I get a 'File not found' message when I try to start any program'

I get this message when starting my computer Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys I've tried to reboot with the XP original disc and can't even do that. Is my computer fried?
