mouse not working right Monday, December 26, 2005 at 1:31 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by ernie (91 messages posted) my daughter uses a trackball for a mouse. for some reason now, the cursor only goes from left to right. its plugged in ok and i rebooted, but still nothing changes. at the time this happened, i was cutting and pasting all her media player files from her c drive which is almost full to her d drive (2nd hd) which is empty. i dont think this could have caused anything to go wrong, or am i incorrect? how can i fix this problem (unless, of course, the mouse just died or something is wrong with the port the mouse is plugged into. Is there a setting?)? thank you.
