It's not just XP to blame. XP isn't a DOS operating system so there are no guarantees that ANY DOS app will work. Pure DOS apps provided their own video drivers generally, and required direct access to the hardware. Since the DOS environment provided in XP is virtual (and does not allow direct access), conflicts and incompatibilities can not always be ironed out. MS wants DOS (old sixteen bit code) to go away so don't expect much help on DOS issues. DOS support is in XP as a courtesy to maintain some support for a limited number of older apps. If not for that, no DOS apps would run on an NT system.. If you have tried the obvious compatibility options and it still won't work, it probably won't unless you know how to rewrite computer code, IME anyway... :-( This type of question comes up from time to time and I have yet to see an answer that works for everyone, but if you find one, please post it! :-)
