hi there ok i have win xp - and i want to change the C:/ icon on my laptop. i have tried the Autorun.inf and that didnt work.. i also changed HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer NoDriveTypeAutoRun REG_DWORD to 91(hex) (well created the key explorer as it didnt exist) and that didnt work. i have also changed HKCR\Drive\DefaultIcon and changed the values of DefaultIcon in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer . Basically ive tried everything you have mentioned here!!! any ideas guys??? it would be much appreciated as ive changed all my icons - and now this jus look SILLY!! thanks!
