re: 100% CPU usage after every standby- why?

I checked Kelly's Corner, and it didn't provide any help. My computer will enter standby, but when it comes out it has 100% CPU usage which basically stalls out the computer. I'm running XP Pro on an Inspiron 8200. Thanks for any more help.
