Jay, that was 7 months ago. You are still having the problem? When you say you reinstalled, did you install from the Dell recovery CD/partition or did you install your own copy of XP? If the latter, do you have all the latest device drivers for the laptop? If not or not sure, go to the Dell web site and download all the drivers for the 8200.


Repair install WinXP / Clean install WinXP
