To get to the power options for your keyboard and mouse, you either need to go through
the device manager (start menu, run, type "devmgmt.msc" in the blank, then click
ok) or you can go into the control panel's mouse option (control panel, mouse, hardware
tab, click properties at the bottom). Once you have pulled up this screen either
way, click on the power management tab and check to see if the allow box is checked,
if so, uncheck it. Hope this helps.
