You can install Oracle's Apache server. It'll work on any NT based OS including XP
home. It's a free download for OTN members. You can download the 10G companion CD.
You don't have to install the 10G database. If you are more interested in getting
J2EE up and running, you can install any Java based HTTP server eg. Oracle's OC4J,
Sun's Java Web server or Orion. Just as a note, these will work on any Windows or
Non-windows OS (Linux ect.) As long as you run Java 1.2 or higher and you have permissions
to assign a port. I ran it on Unix (AIX) at work on a low level userid and it worked
