Question about 'Windows Installer Appears Every Time I Start an Application' Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 1:06 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by s brooks (2 messages posted) I have a question about Windows Installer Appears Every Time I Start an Application: I'm trying to install Norton AntiVirus ver 6 but everytime I try install it tells me I need update of Windows Installer. It then appears to download and install it for me (yet gives no notice of success), and then trys to install Norton, repeatedly failing. When I try to install again, despite already apparently installing Windows Installer, it goes thru the same process again, and again fails during installation. Help appreciated!
