Phil...First thig I would do is install and run a scan with Spybot Search & Destroy.
It will search for, among many other things as well, 6853 (at last count) malware
dialers. Also, go to javacoolsoftware.com and download SpywareBlaster. It also blocks
dialers and other crapware by disabling the ActiveX controls they use to install
themselves into your system. Both are great free products. Something else you might
investigate is Micosoft's Antspyware Beta 1. It only works with Win2K and XP. I'm
not sure if it looks for rogue dialers or not but I've been running it along side
of Spybot and SpywareBlaster with no conflicts or problems of any kind...Larry
