That article is old, but the suggestion that it's safe to delete all .LOG files,
is inaccurate. While many log files can safely be deleted, it's NOT OK to delete
programs Install.log files. Those are needed in order to Uninstall the programs properly.
Otherwise, you'll need to reinstall them in order to Uninstall them.
It's safe to delete programs directories, if the associated programs have
been uninstalled. You can get rid of the intalled Hotfixes directories in this location.
They'll be in blue: C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB905915$.
That won't Uninstall the hotfixes, and those folders take up a lot of space needlessly.
Keep in mind, you won't be able to Uninstall them, if for some reason you decide
to later. So, when you install updates, leave those for a few weeks or so, just in
case.
NOTE: Do NOT delete their associated folders in this directory. Leave these alone...
C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$.
