You might want to do a search in this forum before asking this, it is a common issue.
For the record: There is no build in function in windows XP which allows it uninstall itself. It is not something the end-user is supposed to do. You can't downgrade the OS, only upgrade.
If you really want to get rid of XP you have to reformat or wipe the XP partition/harddrive.
