I have a question about 'How do I obtain a new Product Activation key for Windows XP?' My computer recently died, I realised this was due to my hard drive failing. I bought a new hard drive and exchanged it with my old one. Then I came across my problem... Somewhere along moving house a few times I had lost my copy of Windows XP. My boyfriend nicely offered for me to use his. Its fine at the moment, but it keeps reminding me to activate it on the internet. So can I phone windows and get a new product key? Will they accept the possiblity that my boyfriend has bought a new computer, and needs to re-activate his Windows XP? How will this effect his computer? Where can we find a number to call?
