re: XP does not recognize my sound card

I also have a Dell, it's 3000 I think, and I rebooted Windows XP and now my sound
won't work and the cd's do exactly the same thing.. reads the songs and then they
turn red and won't play. In addition, my screen resolution is stuck at 16bit and
it's not recognizing my drivers I suppose?? I have no idea? If anyone can help,
I WOULD BE SOOOOO HAPPY!!
