I have a Answer to Dealing with Windows's Advanced Power Management (APM):

IN MS XP if system restore is set to "off" you will not be abel to change hibernation options or disabel hibernation. To get to system restore click start> right click on My Computer> Restore. Uncheck turn system restore off then go to Start>Control Pannel>(in catagory view) click Perfomance and Maintenance> Power Options> Click the Hibernate tab> Uncheck "Enable Hibernation" Then click ok. To Do this same operation if you control panel dosent say Performance and Maintenance then your in Clasic view and just say Power Options then then do the same things afterPower Options
