The regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll trick didn't work for me, so I installed ShellExView
from http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html on a hunch that it might be a shell
extension causing it. Then I went through the shell extensions, looking for what
was a Microsoft extension and what was not. Then I disabled the non-MS ones one by
one, and then tried the edit button to see if disabling them worked.
I got lucky and the problem was with the first extension I disabled. Apparently WhoLockMe
does not play nice with the fax and picture viewer's edit button. Pity, it's an awesome
extension.
