When windows installer starts go through the cycle to see what it is trying to install
rather than cancelling the installation dialogue; if that does not work, go to your
add/remove programs windows and look through your list to see what was some of the
latest programs that you may have installed and delete those installation files.
If you have a problem uninstalling a particular program - reinstall the program(which
creates a new uninstallation program) and then re-uninstall the program.
Hope this helps, if not, post again, I'll see what else I can think of.
