So I tried it, and POOF Message GONE! Thank goodness. Odd no one suggested that. They probably thought it is such a basic piece of knowledge that eveyone already knew, and they didn't want to insult my intelligence by telling me to try shift delete. Thanks anyways for your help. In the process of trying to click on the big red X and locking up the computer a hundred times, I finally a few days ago tried a new strategy. I decided that it was maybe just an extremely large attachment that I'd just click on the big red X and go to bed. That didn't work, but it did render the "deleted items" file in Outlook Express inoperable. I can't drag and drop, and I can't use the big red X to delete stuff in OE. I use the shift delete method and it works every time. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to repair my "deleted items" file, so it will accept deleted emails.
