Dial up modem seems to disconnect Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 9:53 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Victoria (1 messages posted) Having a problem for a couple of weeks now, every once in awhile my system thinks that my internet connection has been terminated when in fact it's still connected. At this point I cannot send/receive mail or view any web pages. If I then try to disconnect since my phone line is still engaged, it will not actually disconnect for about 5 mins or not at all. I sometimes have to shut down in order to have the line actually disconnect and be able to reconnect. Any ideas?
