i guess you mean the window that you open "My Computer" or "My Documents" by double
clicking it with your mouse.
Well, usually i hide all the desktop items.
So i dont have My Computer or My Documents.
But i have them as shortcuts on the Toolbar (where those shortcuts is right next
to "Start" button).
Here's what i do.
Open a window and go to "Windows" folder.
If you set show all files in the folder (maybe no need it)
you will see two files:
explorer 1KB <-- originally explorer.scf
explorer.exe 973KB
Copy and make shortcuts of these 2 files on the desktop.
Then you will see what you want.
These 2 shortcuts will do the following:
explorer(.scf) will open your system drive (eg. C:).
explorer.exe will open "My Documents"
Hope i give you a hint for your question.
