Have you anti-virus and anti-spyware software installed?
If not, get AVG (free antivirus), Spybot, Adaware & MS Antispyware (free antispywares)
and scan your machine with all of them. You may need to do this several times - and
you may also need to find other specific solutuins if you have particularly nasty
stuff on board
PS. You do have SP2 and all windows patches installed too? If not, INSTALL them
- after cleaning machine up.
