40GB HD Missing 15 GB of of Space

I have a Western Digital Hard Drive ( WDC WD400JB-00ENA ) Drive is set as the master drive of two Computer shows availible space of 3.7 GB, but when you add all the contents of folders ans subs the total comes out to 10.6 GB and an aditional 4 GB going to system & resources This is leaving 15 GB of hard drive space as missing When I run Scandisc no errors are found on the partition Can anyone help with the 15GB of missing space? Thanks, Brad
