What version of XP? Home or Pro? Are you using limited accounts? If so, many programs
need to run with administrator rights (not limited) so they will not easily, or work
at all in limited accounts. Some software will ask if you want to run it only in
the current account, or in all accounts when it installs. You will have to reinstall
if you want it in all accounts but originally installed it using the install in the
current account only option. If you are having trouble with software that didn't
ask whether you wanted it in the current account or all accounts, you may have no
choice but to switch users from limited accounts to administrator accounts and reinstall
the software. For some programs, you could simply go into the profiles of each user
(from an admin account) and copy shortcuts and links from the installed account to
the other accounts that you want to provide access too.. Doesn't always work in
all programs, but does for some unless special permissions were assigned when the
software was installed IME..
