If you have KB905749. installed but cannot remove it then you should inspect the
registry as above.
I do have some qualms about removing hotfixes like this since they are meant to stop
exploits etc being run on your system. Whats to say that all this garbage in the
registry is not part of the PNP buffer overflow exploit? remove the hotfix and the
exploit may well run. I'd say removing a hotfix is a defo last resort. But inspect
your enum registry entries (at least checking to inside the USB devices entries and
below)
