I'd just like to add something. I've had the same problem that only specific folders
makes explorer.exe crash.
And I noticed that xvid.dll was included in the error message.
I tried to uninstall the Xvid codec and that solved the problem.
I downloaded the newest Xvid codec again (which was the one I was using when I got
my problem). The newest version is 1.1.0 at this time. I unmarked the option to decode
divx and several other kinds of codec's, and that seemed to solve the problem.
I havent tested it alot, but I didnt get a error message after accessing the folder
that caused explorer.exe to crash.
