I have a similar issue, accept I want my task bar to be at the top of the screen.
it is aligned along the top, it is locked and not hidden. When i maximize applications
the title bar disapears under the start menu, but there is still a small gap at the
bottom of the screen as if it still thinks the task bar should be aligned along the
bottom.
now if i unlock the taskbar, move it to the right hand side of the screen, maximize
the window, and then move it back to the top of the screen, the window will be acting
correctly. But that only applies to the one window, any other windows i maximize
i run into the same problems with. Is this a bug in XP or what? This happens on
both my laptop and my desktop (XP Pro and XP Home)
thanks for any assistance,
-kyle
