What CK said +... Do not bother running 3 sticks unless you already have an extra one. You should be upgrading 2 Memory modules at a time period. It is imperitive that they be "sisters" or "twins". You can buy 2x512 kits that are matched. They do not have to match the original pair already in the machine, just the other module on the sister channel. So, 1st pair channel matched, second channel matched.
