WMP install error message

Does anyone know what this means, Google search is not helping.
"Windows Media Player was not installed properly and must be reinstalled.
Do you wish to install the Player from the Microsoft Web site?"
I had 9 or 10, and tried to install 11 but it gave me this message, I tried to uninstall
all WMP's on all my drives; even did a repair from the Install CD. I still get this
message.
In the error box to send to Microsoft (I do not have Internet on that computer, hence
the whole problem), there is a Code: 0xc0000005 and Address: 0x000000004b5cf7bf
Any ideas anyone?
