XP shuts down rather than restarts Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 11:10 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jim (2 messages posted) Recently I've noticed that when I manually attempt to restart or when the installation of something should result in an automatic restart, the system shuts down rather than restarts, requiring a manual power on. Has anyone encountered this or knows how to correct this?
