Microsoft recently released a Windows Update (KB912945) that changes the way embedded
objects (ActiveX controls) work in web pages viewed in Internet Explorer. To remove
this annoyance, simply follow these instructions:
1) Open the Add/Remove Programs applet from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Check the box at the top for Show Updates.
3) Scroll to the bottom and find the "Security Update" with (KB912945) after it,
and click on it, then click the Remove button.
4) You will have to restart your computer for this change to take effect.
5) The next time you run Windows/Microsoft Update, use the Custom option instead
of Express so you can set this update to never show again.
