Network Connection unavailable

I just upgraded my motherboard to a Biostar N4SIE-A7 board, which includes on-board
LAN. However I no longer have a LAN connection to my router. I can't find anything
that even detects that there is a possibility of a connection.
I need help.
Device Manager:
Network Adapter:
1394 Net Adapter (not sure if this is the right adapter or not, but it is the
only one listed)
Running ipconfig from the command prompt returns:
"Windows IP Configuration"
and the prompt again, with no IP configuration details.
Internet options has LAN connection set to Auto-Detect settings.
My router doesn't register any activity no matter what I do.
Plugging and up-plugging the LAN cable doesn't give me the normal 'Network Connection
Un-plugged" and etc... notification in right corner of the task bar.
Opening the properties of the 1394 connection that is listed in network connections,
it doesn't list anything in the support tab for any of: Address Type, IP Address,
Subnet Mask, or Default Gateway. The connection also always shows as connected, regardless
of whether or not it is actually connected. I can enable and disable it without problem,
but also without any apparent effect.
Biostar does not have any drivers listed on their site for the motherboard except
for chipset, sound, and USB 2.0
I am at a loss of what to do. I can't even figure out if I have a device found to
even try to find a driver for it.
Help would be extremely appreciated.
