I tried absolutely everything else suggested in this thread (and elsewhere). The relevant control CDROM/Floppy Shares Access is now found in XTEQ-Pro under /Network/Security/Shares/. Untick 'Deactivate' in both relevant places. It would be good to know what changes this makes in the registry or elsewhere.
