I had a similar problem. I fixed it by going into the Power Options and opening the
Advanced tab. In the options area, if your ‘Always show icon in the taskbar’ is ticked,
then untick it and hit apply and OK. Then repeat the process and this time tick that
option again and hit apply and OK. It seems to reset the icon.
