You're a GEM Enipucrop! I've long suffered this problem, and didn't know the cause.
I still don't understand it, but it worked on my .avi folders that kept causing crashes...
problem now solved. THANKS!! So to those who don't know much - do this: In the start
menu find "Run..." and click on it .Then put "regedit" in the window that appears.
The registry editor will appear, with folders down the left window. Open the following
folders :- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.avi\shellex\PropertyHandler.
Click on the Default value that appears in the right window of the PropertyHandler
folder and press delete, then and click "yes" when windows asks if you want to delete
the default value, then close. This will solve .avi crashes!! Yippee!!
