I have been reading the threads and am wondering, if I have a HW issue w/my processor
wouldn’t this be an across the board issue no matter what OS I am trying to install?
I wiped the drive clean and can install W2k fine. However, anything new hangs.
In frustration I tried everything, XP Home, XP Pro and went way over the top and
tried SBS2003. It hangs at the coping files about 11% in.
I ran check SW and everything checks out fine, pass, pass pass etc… I check the
HCL and my HW devices checkout fine as well. I wiped drives clean about (10 times
now) so there should be no residual. Even went down to the systemroot, renamed the
windows file, deleted the registry, any historical info I could find etc.. At this
point I don’t care I am ready to take a sledge hammer to the whole thing!!!
Any suggestions?
