Anyway, I had the same problem, same reader installed automatically on WinXP, but was unable to read SD card, while was OK with CF. I downloaded this driver: www.lubino.sk/data/drivers/ucr61s2bunlockedbeta.zip I run it and no other thing I had to do since reader started work perfectly. No need for hardware hack. Ciao U.
