I also have a problem of Windows Xp not shutting down. It hangs when it gets to
Saving your settings. seems to hang for hours sometimes. So I've just tried Gary's
solution to fix it. I'm hoping it will. One query though.
I got to the step right click on Local Area Connection, then left click on Repair.
Problem was that I couldn't get Repair run because it was blanked out - I mean it
was there but not functional. So what I did was complete the fix by restarting my
PC. I'm hoping it will still fix the hang problem.
Can Gary or anyone advise me if that's going to do the trick or is there some other
way to do the repair - or do I need to. I don't use it usually as I've only got
dial up. Anyone please advise. Thanks again
This is a great site and I'm glad I found it.
