I have a comment about How do I skip the Product Activation in Windows XP?:

Having just been through the reregistration process (P.S.> Never add a new hard drive to XP, it makes you re-activate) I can tell you, not fun. I use my XP Home for audio and video production, and physically do not have it connected to the internet. Imagine my surprise to find out that after adding an external SATA drive, that windows needs to re-authenticate. Of course it tells me that this happened several days ago. After it has allready locked me out. Do they realize I have to use removable drives for archiving and editing???? Do they realize that service pack 2 cripples my non internet enabled computer? And of course I am endlessly removing the "Instant Messanger" which seems to pop up with helpful hints in the middle of recording which of course leaves me with glitches in the audio and lost frames in the video. I keep removing it, and it keeps "Coming Back from the Dead". I'm currently moving all of my production tools to Mac and Linux (Gentoo), which sadly means all of the great software companies I love are also going to lose out on my business. *sigh*
