PCI firewire card drivers won't install

I have a Mach Speed K8M8MS MB with an AMD 3700 64 xp cpu. I'm using win xp home.
My case has front firewire but the board did not have headers for it. I have tried
2 different PCI firewire cards with an internal pin header. I get the cards to show
in the device manager but can not get drivers installed. The drivers are not available
on cd. I was told by support that the drivers are basic windows drivers. I have tried
both cards in 3 different PCI slots. They were assigned an IRQ and IRQ was not shared.
I took both cards and tried on a different computer and they both worked.I have been
tinkering with this for about 3 months on and off and am very frustrated. Can anyone
PLEASE PLEASE HELP.
